Comeback Treatment Center was founded in 1989 by Bart Allen. He and a few others dedicated to helping drug addicts and alcoholics get clean and sober founded their program with the high hopes that their endeavors would make a difference in the lives of a few others. The early years of the treatment center naively focused on service to others exclusively with little regard to business survival concerns. It was a rocky time. But it was very exciting for the founders, for they were discovering that their clients in treatment were responding in a very positive way!

The key to helping others became obvious: Individual attention and compassionate support were the ingredients that assured new people would also grasp the principals of drug - alcohol rehab and recovery and get well. Service to others has always been the primary concern of CTC, however, business management matured through the years, and CTC became a solid, permanent institution.

Today, those 'few addicts,' the Founders of CTC sought to help has turned into thousands! Little did they know in the beginning of their journey what personal riches would come forth. Helping others began as a passion; and that theme is one ingredient still of the Comeback Treatment Center and drug program environment. Only those who express and display compassion and concern for others are hired at CTC. The standards for staff could be the highest in the recovery industry. CTC has always believed and seen that 'people helping people' is what makes the difference and helping a person change from a spiraling drug lifestyle to a responsible, enhanced way of living.

People can change. Drug addicts and alcoholics can change. Drug addicts are people first, and addiction is a 'learned behavior' that is highly treatable. All addicts and alcoholics were influenced negatively, at one time or another, in their lives by others who offered them the cheap thrill of drugs. Next, comes the affect of drugs on a person's mentality and his growing dependence on this 'chemical suit of armor.' Soon there is the gradual decline of a person's willingness to be productive, isolation sets in, and the 'estranged phase' from others takes place. Attempts are made to overcome the problem by one's self, but these attempts are fleeting and soon lost, and the drug spree, and the downward cycle continues relentlessly.

Drugs are rapacious. They steal a person's personality and transform it from vitality to despair and hopelessness. The drug addicted, once the invisible line of addiction is crossed, cannot overcome their compulsion to use by their unaided will. This is where Treatment comes in, and offers a way out. CTC has witnessed a multitude of lost lives transform into healthy lifestyles.
